A little about White House General Baptist Church:
History of White House General Baptist Church - WHGBC met on March 1st, 1981, for it's first service. Then, on June 28th, 1981, the church was established with twelve charter members. The first pastor was Bill Bowers. There was extensive remodeling to the building which once housed a fireworks stand. The first addition to the building was completed on January 15th, 1991, with a new wing housing Sunday School classrooms and a baptistery. In January 1995, thirteen and one-half acres were purchased. After many years of planning and praying, God blessed us with the present building. We began meeting in the new building the first Sunday in November 2000. Our present membership is 190. We are presently in a building program with extra educational space being adding to the present building in the spring of 2003.
White House General Baptist Vision Statement - Our vision is to actively serve God by reaching out to the world, and drawing Christians together until the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
White House General Baptist Church Purpose - The purpose of White House General Baptist Church is to glorify God through Christ, by being the light in a world of darkness. We will evangelize the lost, Edify the saints, Promote Christian service, We will accomplish this through worship, prayer, and staying in God's Word.
A Place For Worship - The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God by giving Him our worship and receiving His blessing and inspiration. We hope this is what you experience today.
A Place For Friendship - Nothing seems to compare to the joy of Christian friendship. We make it a priority to build lasting bonds of friendship between the members of our church. We'd love to include you, too.
A Place For Learning - Studying the Bible is vital because it guides us spiritually throughout our lives. Special programs and ministries for children, youth and adults fill our church calendar. We seek to make the learning from God's Word a thrilling experience.
A Place For Service - Just as Jesus came as a servant, we accept the responsibility to reach out in service to others. This applies both to our church family and to those outside of our fellowship.
