G.R.O.W. Rally - March 8, 2009
(God Rewards Our Work)

During the weeks of January and February, members of White House General Baptist Church participated in training for a new evangelism ministry, G.R.O.W.

White House General Baptist Church  is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission through the G.R.O.W. Ministry, which takes the gospel of Jesus Christ to our local community. Participants commit to giving approximately two-and-a-half hours a month to serve on one of our four G.R.O.W. teams. Each team will meet on their assigned date and participate in a variety of ministry opportunities.

Some of our members will go out into the neighborhood in groups of two or three and take a spiritual survey of those who are willing to talk with them. This gives our church an opportunity to learn about their needs and to share the gospel with them. Other members remain at the church and pray for those who are going door-to-door and for the people they meet. Others make phone calls, write letters, or provide childcare. Everyone has a vital role on the team.

WHGBC is so very proud of our youth and the commitment they are making to God and His Son, Jesus Christ, through this unique ministry.

December 21, 2008

At the Morning Worship Service and the Evening Worship Service, the Youth Drama Team presented a program choreographed to O Holy Night.

REBELution:  The Youth from WHGBC were given the opportunity to attend this conference on August 14, 2010 at Two Rivers Baptist Church, Nashville, TN.  Our Youth Pastor, Jeff Kirby, gave a very moving testimony during worship service 8-15-10 on the experience of attending this conference.

The 2010 Do Hard Things Tour was a powerful, high-energy presentation of the core ideas of The Rebelution and Alex and Brett's new book, Do Hard Things.

The teen years are the time in every person's life to get direction, develop purpose and gain momentum. They're the launching pad of life. Unfortunately, many young people have bought into the lie that the teens years are a vacation from responsibility and as a result are wasting some of the most valuable and productive years of their lives.

The Do Hard Things Tour is intended to creatively and powerful respond to this attitude by motivating and equipping young people, in light of God's standards, to get serious about faith, family, and future -- starting as teenagers.
